A truly stunning recreation of one of the most iconic `30s sports cars ever produced. She is just wonderful and correct in so much detail that we at Ashridge find it difficult to believe that this is in fact a replica such is the attention to detail.In fact ongoing research is being conducted as to whether the bodytub may indeed be original. The chassis however is an original 6 cylinder, not from an MPH (Riley only made 18 or so) but has the correct prefix 44T.

She is powered by the 6 cylinder engine and fitted with twin SU`s a 6 branch exhaust system complete with fishtail mated to a 4 speed preselecta gearbox.The engine is fitted with oil coolers and upon inspection appears to have a polished and ported head and valves; it certainly goes very rapidly and would be ideally suited to competition entry.

Running gear is correct for the period down to the front axle wire restrainers to prevent axle tramp and she is fitted with 18 inch wheels as were the early MPH`s. Prior to delivery to the new owner the car will be fitted with Blockley tyres.

She has beautiful bodywork with a lovely patina as befits an older restoration and the attention to detail is superb,even down to the fin casting that allows continuity over the rear tonneau and down the boot section.Under the bonnet the side vents have been properly turned and the aeroscreen stowage compartments have period catches to hold them.The windscreen fold down mechanisms are correct as is the clever rear view mirror mechanism. There is a full tonneau and also a hood frame for covering in the unlikely event it would ever get used.

Instrumentation is comprehensive and there are underbonnet as well as dashboard lights. The interior is black leather and correctly upholstered. She has just sailed through her mot and is now ready for new challenges be they on the track,sprints or hillclimbs........in fact just holidaying or touring will give immense pleasure. She is well worth consideration and competitively priced when compared to an original or similar marque.
