1929 Rolls Royce 20hp Barrel Sided tourer.
Registration number VP7272
A beautifully executed touring body in the style of Barker & correct down to having genuine Barker coach plates fitted.
This car was extensively restored just over 10 years ago & since then has covered only a thousand or so miles per year.
The exterior paint is pale blue over dark navy blue & in excellent order. The seats are blue buttoned leather also in excellent condition. To the rear is a fold up Auster screen to protect the rear occupants. A full set of side screens also comes with the car. The hood is a recent item in navy blue & made from fine double duck material. To the rear is a capacious luggage trunk containing the side screens etc.
The engine bay is absolutely immaculate & has been detailed to show standards. The car retains its original under trays & is absolutely correct with the exception of a more recent coil. A particularly fine sounding nickel Klaxon is located on the bulkhead.
The car starts readily & runs beautifully. The car is exceptionally light to drive & benefits from having a modern overdrive fitted which brings the cruise speed up to a very acceptable 55 MPH or so. It is a mechanically superb example with all the hard work having been done during restoration.
The car is located in Gloucester & may be viewed there by prior appointment. We will photograph it in more detail as soon as more clement weather returns.
